Ulvi Yusifov is a tax professional with more than 20 years of experience gained from tenures at public service, Big4 consulting firms and international organizations.
He worked for the Ministry of Taxes of Azerbaijan for 14 years and held various positions being responsible for international taxation matters including tax treaty negotiations and administration, transfer pricing and exchange of information with foreign countries' competent authorities.
Ulvi participated in OECD's work on international taxation as a representative of Azerbaijan. From 2013 to 2017 served as a member of the United Nations Tax Committee.
In 2017 he resigned from the position of the Director of International Taxation Department of the Ministry of Taxes and continued his career as a tax consultant providing tax advisory services to multiple local and foreign companies from various sectors of economy.
Ulvi holds ADIT qualification (Advanced Diploma in International Taxation) from CIOT (Chartered Institute of Taxation).
Ulvi's current position is a senior manager with KPMG in Azerbaijan. He is also continuing his academic activities as a visiting lecturer at the International School of Economy of the UNEC (University of Economy of Azerbaijan).
