In her more than 20 years of work for PwC, Ekaterina has advised a number of Russian financial institutions on the structuring of their Russian and international investments, and she has advised on the development of foreign trading companies. Ekaterina specializes in the taxation of securities companies, investment funds and banks.
Ekaterina advises on international and local tax strategies for Russian and foreign investment funds and family offices making investments into Russia and other countries, as well as banks and broker-dealer companies.
Ekaterina has led work on tax analysis and tax structuring on transactions regarding large real estate acquisitions, on the review of sales contracts of companies owning property and on conducting negotiations.
In the past five years, Ekaterina has headed PwC’s Tax and Legal practice in Russia, a practice that has been recommended as a leader by authoritative publications such as International Tax Review, Global Tax Monitor and World Finance.
Ekaterina heads the Working Group on Accounting, Reporting and Taxation under the Association of Russian Banks’ Committee for the Development of Financial Markets and she is also a member of the Tax Policy Committee of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs. In addition, Ekaterina is an initiator of the Corporate Taxation Award, which is held annually by PwC in cooperation with the RSPP.
