Duarte Calheiros Menezes is a Partner and Fund Manager at BlueCrow Capital, which he joined in 2014. With over 15 years of experience in the financial sector, he specialises in asset structuring and management, with deep expertise in venture capital and private equity fund management.
He holds a degree in Economics and a Master’s in Finance from Católica Lisbon School of Business & Economics, one of Europe’s leading business schools. Duarte began his career in futures and options trading, gaining invaluable experience over five years at major financial institutions such as OSTC Group.
As an investment professional, he has consistently delivered strong results, leveraging his expertise in asset allocation and risk management to navigate complex market conditions. Since becoming a Fund Manager in 2018, Duarte has played a pivotal role in surpassing performance targets, optimising portfolio strategies, and generating impressive returns for investors.
In 2020, he led a large-scale fundraising campaign for BlueCrow Growth Fund I and the Innovation Fund Series, securing over €100 million in capital. He was also instrumental in establishing critical operational functions at BlueCrow Capital, designing streamlined onboarding procedures to enhance investor acquisition and ensuring seamless coordination between investor relations and the legal and compliance teams. His leadership has been fundamental in strengthening BlueCrow Capital’s operational efficiency and adherence to regulatory standards.
