Athos Myrianthous

Athos Myrianthous is an Executive Director of MAP Fund Management Services Ltd (MAP FMS), an Alternative Investment Funds Manager (AIFM), authorised and regulated by the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC).

Athos is a Senior Financial Services Professional, with hands-on experience in the areas of AIF & UCITs Funds, CIFs, PIs, EMIs and other regulated entities in the broader finance sector.  He has extensive experience in the operation of funds, as well as other areas such as Set up and Licencing, Compliance and AML, Fund Operations and Administration, Transfer Agent and other financial regulation and operation matters.

Academically, he holds an Honours degree in Law (LLB) from Queen Mary University London, a Master’s Degree in International Commercial Law (LLM) from Westminster University and a Master’s Degree in Finance (MSc SH. & Finance) from Cass Business School, City University.

He is a holder of the Cyprus Bar, member of the Cyprus Investment Funds Association (CIFA), holder of CYSEC’s ‘Advanced Certificate in Financial Services Legal Framework’ and CYSEC ‘AML Certification’. He is also member in several technical committees and working groups, including the CIFA ‘AML Technical committee’ and the CIFA ‘Strategic Committee on Crypto-Funds’, for the past few years.

For several years Athos is also an Expert Trainer on matters related to Funds and other regulated entities at the European Institute of Management and Finance (EIMF).

Before joining MAP FMS, He held various positions in the Legal and Finance Sector and for many years provided expert consulting and technical assistance to regulated entities both on a local and international level.
