TABA-AmCham

Turkish-American Businessmen Association – American Chamber of Commerce Turkey (TABA-AmCham)
TABA-AmCham was founded in 1987 based on the vision of the late President Turgut Özal, with a Cabinet decision granting it the status of a "Public Benefit Association." In 1991, following a ruling by the Council of State, it was officially recognized as one of the associations working for public benefit under Article 59 of the Turkish Associations Law No. 2908. TABA-AmCham also acts as the representative of the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) in Turkey and has been actively involved in strengthening Turkish-American business relations since its inception.
Since the 1990s, TABA-AmCham has served as a bridge for American investors to access the Turkish market, neighboring countries, and markets in the Turkish Republics. Additionally, through the "Select USA Summit" program, TABA-AmCham has assisted numerous Turkish investors in entering the U.S. market.
The association offers services to American companies operating in Turkey and Turkish companies looking to establish business connections with the U.S., while working to enhance commercial, economic, and cultural relations between the two countries. Headquartered in Istanbul, TABA-AmCham has branches in Ankara, Izmir, and Çukurova, as well as representatives in Gaziantep, Kocaeli, Tekirdağ, and Izmir in Turkey, and internationally in New York, New Jersey, Florida, Texas (Austin and Houston), Washington DC, Georgia, Illinois, Ukraine, and Berlin.
In collaboration with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, based in Washington DC, TABA-AmCham develops joint projects between Turkey and the U.S. and leads solution-focused partnerships with public institutions and civil society organizations. The association also offers advisory services to its member companies to help strengthen their corporate infrastructure and enhance their international competitiveness.
TABA-AmCham's main goal is to provide international growth opportunities for companies with expertise in sectors such as industry, trade, finance, and law; develop investment projects; support the corporate development of SMEs; facilitate effective communication with public authorities in commercial and legal matters between Turkey and the U.S.; collaborate with regional AmCham offices to promote social and commercial awareness; and contribute to sustainable development.
