Bulgaria Fund Management

Bulgaria Fund Management is a registered fund manager regulated by the Bulgarian Financial Supervision Commission. We currently offer the Bulgaria AIF Fund, which meets the requirements of the Bulgarian Golden Visa program. At a glance: the program grants indefinite permanent residence, no ongoing physical-stay requirement to keep PR, and eligibility for citizenship after five full years of holding PR, subject to passing a basic Bulgarian language exam at A1 or obtain exemption.
The Fund pursues a predictable, capital-preservation strategy focused on fixed-income instruments—primarily bonds issued by Bulgarian state-owned enterprises, licensed Bulgarian banks, and select healthcare providers—delivering euro-denominated yields broadly comparable to those in the United States.
For investors seeking exposure beyond a pure bonds portfolio, the Fund offers diversification through dedicated share classes. A portion of capital may be allocated to residential or elderly-care developments—segments with strong structural demand and, in some cases, partial government support—aiming for attractive returns while maintaining a low-risk profile.
Who Operates the Fund
Led by a multidisciplinary team across legal, investment, and compliance, the Fund is overseen by Advocate Vasil Markov, who manages regulatory and legal matters, and Advocate Petar Markov, who leads the processing team and liaises with the authorities to ensure fast, smooth applications. The team also includes Andreas Beikos, former EIB head for Bulgaria, and Laurens Bensdorp, a systematic finance trader.
