Ebrahim Asvat is a Senior Partner at the law firm of Patton, Moreno & Asvat with offices in Panama, London, and Uruguay. Affiliates licensed trust companies in Panama, the British Virgin Islands, Belize, and Nevis. A well-known legal practitioner with an LLM from Harvard and with more than forty years of practice in corporate matters, with special emphasis on tax planning, family succession, and foreign investments. Had been a professor of Private International Law at the Catholic University of Panama, President of the second oldest newspaper in Latin America, "la Estrella de Panama". Advisor to a prior Vice-President and President of Panama, a columnist and public speaker on local and national affairs on TV and radio.
In addition is a booklover and presently involved in developing a health clinic for underprivileged citizens and granting scholarships to students lacking financial resources.
