Nataly has over 20 years of experience in management of large budgets, fundraising and promoting R&D projects. She is a retired IDF Lieutenant Colonel and served in the Directorate of Defense Research & Development (DDR&D), a joint body of the Israeli Ministry of Defense and Israel Defense Forces that promotes R&D and innovation for the Defense community. She held executive positions at DDR&D, dealing with strategic budget planning, management and contracting for the Ministry of Defense.
During her service, Nataly was appointed the Israel Missile Defense Organization (IMDO) representative in Washington DC, where she worked with US DoD and the Missile Defense Agency to promote US-Israel cooperative programs. In addition to the programs management activity, Nataly worked with US Congress, the White House, AIPAC and industries to promote US-Israeli funding for the cooperative Ballistic Missile Defense programs, such as Iron Dome, Arrow and David’s Sling.
Prior to her retirement, Nataly led the R&D Budget planning and Economics department at DDR&D, where she was responsible for strategic budgetary planning, allocation and execution for Israeli MoD innovation programs.
For her contribution to the Defense of Israel, as a part of IMDO group, Nataly was awarded the Israel Defense Prize.
Currently Nataly is a Vice President Business Development and Strategy at SmartGen Ltd. – an investment and consulting company, which also runs Family Office for its HNWI clients.
In this capacity, she promotes SGF – a Venture capital Fund of Funds platform, which invests in top tier Venture funds in Israel. Nataly is one of the three SGF General Partners. Her responsibility includes promoting collaborations and fundraising activities, as well as evaluation of investment opportunities.
Nataly holds a B.A. in Economics and Management from Technion, the Israel Institute of Technology and an M.B.A. from Tel Aviv University.
