Matt Ernst Jaeggi spent the first twenty years of his career in financial services, of which the last 10 years as Head of Funding at Swiss Reinsurance Company, responsible for their multi-billion USD annual funding programme. He successfully developed and issued several novel contingent capital instruments including a catastrophe trigger bond. In 2015, he founded a debt advisory boutique to execute from start to finish bank debt and debt capital markets deals for other companies. One of these transactions was to assist Andermatt Swiss Alps AG - the venture of Mr. Samih O. Sawiris to develop the Swiss mountain village of Andermatt into a unique alpine vacation destination - in executing their inaugural listed capital markets bond. After this transaction, he was asked to come on board as the company’s CFO. Since then he has secured external funding for a number of the company’s projects including real estate and long-dated government debt and grants for the CHF 130m expansion and upgrade of the SkiArena Andermatt-Sedrun. Matthias holds a masters degree in finance from the University of Zurich, Switzerland.
