Stella C. Koukounis graduated from the University of Sheffield in 2003 with an LL.B. with honours and followed a specialization as a Barrister at the Nottingham Law School in 2004. Stella is a Barrister of Lincoln’s Inn. In 2005, she extended her studies in corporate and commercial law at University College London where she was awarded an LL.M. On her return to Cyprus, Stella completed her pupillage at a well-known commercial firm in Nicosia before embarking on a career spanning 16 years, with a particular focus on the wide ambit of corporate, commercial, banking and financing law.
Her clients are primarily high-net-worth groups based abroad and include private equity funds, family offices, groups of companies in the IT, Media and Entertainment sectors as well as in the raw material sector. Stella has been the head of corporate of a leading corporate service provider managing a team of over 25 employees in the period 2013 to 2015, before her decision to set up Solsidus Law. Between 2015 and 2021, was the designated legal advisor and representative of a Swiss family office and their operations in Cyprus. It has included the creation from an initial small team to the development of a team of over 15 professionals while leading a number of real estate, securities and investment related projects complimented by in-house and external legal, accounting and other professionals. In 2022 and 2023 Stella has been chosen as the designated advisor for the issue of certified green bonds and development of PV projects in Cyprus and abroad.
