Kazakhstan Association of Free (Special) Economic Zones

The Kazakhstan Association of Free (Special) Economic Zones is an expert-coordinating public organization created to promote the development of special economic zones (SEZs) in the Republic of Kazakhstan, represent and protect their interests, and improve working conditions for investors and residents.

The Association ensures effective interaction with government agencies and actively participates in improving the regulatory framework for special economic zones.

Key Facts:

  • Permanent participant in the Boao Forum for Asia.
  • ​​Acts as the regional office of the World Free Zones Organization (WFZO) for Central Asia.

Main Activities:

  • Representing the interests of SEZs and participating in the development and improvement of legislation;
  • Promoting investment and promoting Kazakhstan's SEZs in domestic and international markets;
  • Providing analytical and expert support to participants;
  • Developing international cooperation;
  • Supporting current and potential SEZ participants. Mission:

Developing an effective system of special economic zones in Kazakhstan to attract investment, develop industry, implement modern technologies, and ensure sustainable regional economic growth.

 

The Association plays a key role in increasing the investment attractiveness of the Republic of Kazakhstan and integrating domestic SEZs into the global system of free and special economic zones.
