Canada-Greece Chamber of Commerce

WHO WE ARE

Founded in 1996, the Canada–Greece Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to fostering relations between Canada and Greece — primarily in business, but not exclusively. For nearly three decades, the Chamber has worked to strengthen the ties between two nations connected by history, a shared diaspora of hundreds of thousands, and a growing base of economic opportunity that remains, by the Chamber's own research, significantly underdeveloped relative to its true potential.

WHAT WE DO

Trade & Investment Facilitation

Connecting Canadian and Greek businesses, investors and institutions, and helping translate bilateral goodwill into concrete commercial outcomes.

Strategic Research

Commissioning independent studies — including the Chamber's landmark Canada–Greece Bilateral Trade, Investment & Strategic Partnership Study — to ground decisions in evidence rather than assumption.

Institutional Advocacy

Representing the bilateral relationship before governments and multilateral institutions, from Ottawa and Athens to Brussels.

Business, Cultural & Community Ties

Sustaining the broader relationship between Canada and Greece, including the Greek-Canadian diaspora, beyond strictly commercial interests.

RECENT MILESTONES

The Canada–Greece Bilateral Study (2026)

The first comprehensive strategic study of Canada–Greece economic relations, co-authored by the Chamber. Its central finding: the relationship operates at roughly 40–50% of its structural potential, with a realistic 2035 trade target above CAD 5 billion.

Brussels Mission (June 2026)

The Chamber represented Canada–Greece interests at the CEUTIA / Canadian Chamber of Commerce Business Forum and in meetings at the European Parliament, advancing Greece's ratification of CETA's investment chapter (ICS), a proposed Green Shipping Corridor (Halifax–Volos/Thessaloniki), seafarer credential recognition, a bilateral R&D programme modelled on CIIRDF, and a partnership with the Canadian Chamber modelled on the CanCham Mexico agreement.
